The sweetest thing I have ever seen in a graveyard before today was a life size pair of trees with one branch touching across - today we saw birthday balloons and lots of flowers and sure enough, it was the guy's birthday yesterday, only he has been gone five years. I just about cried. Don't we all want to be missed that much by someone?

I read a story a while back by Guy de Maupassant called A Dream or Was it a Dream? Dont remember for sure. about this guy whose wife died from pneumonia, and it goes on how heartbroken he is, how much they loved each other and so on. He has a dream where in a cemetery all the dead people come out of the ground and change the epitaths on their headstones. One said he was a devoted husband and father, generous in business, and so on. He changed it to he was a crook, cheated on his wife, was mean to his kids. The guy who was having the dream went to where his wife was buried and what she wrote on her headstone was a kicker. It was funny in a sick sort of way.
