VELVEETA Shortage, Are ya Gunna Miss It ?

Remember that cheese the govt. was giving away some years ago? It was like Velveeta, but a lot better.

I prefer the more pungent / smelly varieties..........Velveeta relies more on SALT for it's flavor...it needs it to counteract the BLANDNESS...

A " salt mine " considering that just 1 oz. contains almost 20% of ones daily sodium allotment...

All " processed " foods are notorious for being " a heart attack on a plate "

I love pepper too, and it's very HEALTHY!...actually I can't live w/out it. have you tried WHITE pepper yet ?

I was very fortunate to discover a " salt-substitute ", NU SALT.............otherwise I'd be up the creek, I've always LOVED SALTY foods way too much, I'd use the salt-shaker BEFORE even tasting whatever I was eating...

I'd choose a pretzel and chips, over sweets anyday...it's a pleasure to now be eating all of my salty favorites, knowing it won't harm me ( high B.P., heart disease, stroke, etc )

There are a few different brands out there, I liked them all....( Morton's makes one too )...

It comes in that same blue packaging w/the pic of a girl under an umbrella at the top and says; " salt-substitute " ( MUCH smaller size tho ).............btw, it's a million times " saltier " than real salt, so you'll have to adjust and use it very " sparingly " or it will taste GHASTLY, just as " real " salt would..

I haven't found the NU Salt yet, but I did finally pick up some white pepper. I have yet to use it though.
