I ....too think that they're AMAZING!...............why not a tv show? ( couldn't be worse than some reality shows out there now)
Sadly, that is not too high of a standard. :( But these wonderful stories would, most likely, set a new, higher bar! :)

Yeah, it would be nice to hear some NICE stories for a change instead of all the baby daddy mama drama and such that is on TV. Actually, I have no idea what is on TV right now... I never watch!

Same here. Theres no TV in this area unless you have Dish. For me its not worth bothering with.

There are some nice stories on here. They sound like successful relationships.

I met Jordan when i was 6 or 7. his sister was a friend of my dads. and for years we had a crush on each other, but of course we never said it. so for years i thought he just look at me like a little sister or something.
then we ended up going to the same school that only had like 40 kids in.
and when i left that school in 7th grade we lost contact and we both moved on with life.
until i turned 20 and he found me on facebook. and now we've been together a year and live together and i've never been happier

Oh wow thats so romantic!! What a great story.
I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over.

this last year has been amazing,
I am very lucky to have him.
he picked me up from the airport and saved me from the abusive marriage I was in.
I cant imagine my life with him.

And it just keeps getting more romantic. I'm so glad you got out of that situation, especially into a me one that is so much better. I wish you both years of happiness, he sounds like a keeper.

I know what you mean, it took me since I was 14 to find a great one, and who would have guessed my Mr.right was kinda of there all along.

Its always the person you expect least. If youd told me five years ago I'd be engaged to my current boyfriend I might've laughed in your face. I would never had thought we were a good match, but it turns out we work really well together in spite (and sometimes thanks) to our differences.

I feel that to " like " a mate trumps everything............w/o that very special rapport, what good is LOVE ?...

The litmus test is, " would you choose that person to be with if you were stranded on a dessert Island ?...

So for me " best friend " is VITAL, love comes 2nd...

So... I will tell how I met my very first boyfriend:
It's not that interesting.

I was in high school and had just moved from another area of town where I grew up...
The new town was a military town and always had new kids moving in and out every summer before the new school year. The locals had some chat rooms going on back in those AOL days for the newbies to ask questions and whatnot... I became well known in those chat rooms because I was a new kid in town but wasn't military, which didn't happen. So this one guy who offered to show me around school when the new school year started... and then we later started dating. The end.

I met my first ( deceased husband ) by putting up my kid bro to tell him " I have a sister who wants to meet you "...
I'd first seen him while looking out the window and it was " love at first "...
(I had remarked to my mom and bro: " who's that tall, dark handsome stranger? " )...as it turned out he was new in town, and had just arrived from Paris...
My bro knew him because he'd give him a ride to school every day...so, my bro promised to let Marcel be aware of my " existence "...the only prob was that the little chicken s--t... lost his nerve and slipped an 8x10 glossy photo of me w/our tel. no. UNDER THE DOOR of his apt. instead..

I was never so embarrassed, but sure enough " mission accomplished ".......he called that night, when my mother handed me the phone my knees buckled the second I heard his sexy French accent...

We made a date, he proposed on our 2nd date, I accepted and the rest was history...
Just 2 children and only 5 years later he was killed in a head on collision abroad while on a business trip w/2 other business partners...
Eight kids in all were left " fatherless " just from that 1 accident.......Marcel was only 39

Widowed at the age of 25, it took me 10 YEARS. to meet my next husband /soulmate( I'm very particular )

See page 1...
