Havent been here much lately, I have well and truly caught the travel bug! And even more so for my own country, beautiful Ireland. Spent the weekend down in Dingle Co Kerry, always wanted to check out the sights at our most westernly point and after a VERY long drive, I was very happy with the results. Not only are the pubs the traditional, roaring-fire-with-a-pint-and-trad-music which you just dont get in the cities, the sights around the Dingle Peninsula took my breath away, from the Sleeping Giant Blasket Island to the Gallarus Octary to the lovely little quaint Irish villages dotted around the coast. The Blasket Island visitor centre kept me there 2 hours it was a fascinating place to learn about the inhabitants of an island I never knew even existed. Plus i got to see Fungi, the resident dolphin who stays around the harbor (although trying to take a picture of him proved tricky!). Then back to the hotel for a few nice pints and lovely Irish music. I loved my time there and will try to get back soon, maybe when they run a flight to Dingle!

I want to go to Ireland one of these days.

There is a lovely picture book at the library, it just looks so green.

I just got back from sort of a vacation in Utah. It was more a trip of neccessity than anything else. Took care of some business, saw my kids and some old friends, that part was pretty nice. But the long, boring, tiring drive was miserable. Im getting too old for those long trips. Also the high prices in the States for everything. 10 dollars for a lousy hamburger and a watered-down drink, 12 dollars for a crummy Chinese meal, and these jerk-offs in stores who think they are doing you a favor by waiting on you, etc. But other than that, it was nice to see the family again. Came back flat broke, Ill be eating beans and rice for a while.

Thats true. Here you can get a couple tacos and a Fanta orange drink for about 3 dollars and a killer torta for about 4 dollars.

I'm a wanderer so I don't think a cruise would be my kind of vacation.
