What is parvo....I've never heard of it. It's hard to watch an animal suffer. I hope she gets better, BH.

Parvo is kind of a dog flu that dehydrates dogs, its almost always fatal. Happily she is better today, maybe she just had a bad day. Dogs are like us, they have good days and bad days.

BH, so glad to hear your dog is doing better. It is so upsetting to see an animal sick - especially if you aren't sure what is wrong with them.

It's always aleays a good feeling when an animal snaps out of it like that. Glad to hear she's okay.

I was relieved. I think I found what made her sick. I gave her some dog treats that were really old and probably went bad. I got rid of them.

Yeah, a dried pigs ear did that to our dog so we won't buy them again. What makes me mad are the fatal ticks and toads we have in our subtropical climate. We're very careful out walking but they can also be in our backyard.

That's one reason I like living in the northern part of our country, although we do have severely infectious mosquitos and ticks also.

Theres lots of ticks here but I got some stuff from the vet that you spray on the dog and rub it in, it kills ticks that are on them and keeps others away. I also heard if you give your dog brewers yeast it gets rid of them, too.

My work colleague told me I was boring today.... because every chance I get I have my nose in a book. I told him I was learned, he said all I read is novels, I said literature thank you and then proceeded to ask... and who do you ask when stuck on a crossword clue?.... ME!!!!!

I love it, Primrose! I get that same feeling from one of my kids. She always looks so disgusted when she sees me reading. I told her to be thankful that I can entertain myself without bothering her. She had no answer to that one.

Oh and what made me sad today....

Queensland were robbed in the State of Origin last night. Gallen should have been sent off or sin binned. If he doesn't get a couple of weeks for that, there is no justice. However I am not a sore loser and think that the blues were the better side on the night. We will get you in Brissie though. :D

Oh Gannon... the better team won ( very convincingly I might add )... and Gallen was sticking up for his mates from that awful bully on the QLD side. I saw it all, he was being picked on so there :D :D
