Kind of weird, thats for sure. Another weird custom is this. We have all seen those gate and fence posts with the balls on top. That came from when barbarians went to war and came back with the heads of their vanquished enemies. They would put the heads on posts in front of their houses to show everyone what great warriors they were.

Crazy! And I would have to think quite stinky after awhile too!
