Let me introduce myself first, I am Beverlene. In our place parents usually name their children after theirs. In my cas my parents combined their name to come up with mine. My mom's name is Arlene while my pap's name is Bebiano.

The pronunciation of my last name was always questionable, so Zman is blunt and enforces the essence of my personality; Thomas is my birth name: Thus -- Thomas Zman

My mom was dead set on Natasha. But on the day she went into labor with me, my dad saw the name Ninoska on of the nurses that was there that night. Apparently, not only did he liked name, but the nurse as well. Lol. I'm also the oddball since my sister's have more common names like Joanne and Stacy. :lol2:

I don't have any fun name stories for me. My Mum had a c section with my brother though and managed to wake up before he could call him Reginald (after the RAF Regiment!) he ended up Daniel instead. I've really enjoyed reading all the different comments on here though!

Wow! What an interesting way to get a name. My friend Glo'el was also named like that. Her father's name is Sarel and her mother's is Gloria.

My name is Amber Sage.
Well originally my mama was told that I was suppose to be a boy so she started looking for boy names. One day she was in the doctors office and she heard a mother yelling for her son and his name was Sage so she thought that she had her boy name. Well I was born and instead of being a boy I was a girl she still wanted the name so she placed it as my middle name. I loved it so much that when I got married instead of moving my maiden name to the middle I dropped it and kept it as Amber Sage.
