I made some homemade yogurt! Use a double boiler to heat milk to 180 degrees. Cool to 110 degrees. Add brown sugar and vanilla extract to desired flavor. Put milk in a plastic container and then stir in one serving of plain yogurt (Greek works great!). Put the lid on and then place in the oven with only the oven light on. Leave over night and the next morning you will have fantastic yogurt. You will need to drain off some whey, but the milk will have formed a solid mass. Flavor with additional brown sugar and add desired topping. Fresh fruit or granola are great!

My parents used to make it from fresh milk right from the cow. They used what they call a starter and made it in an oven in quart Mason jars and we ate it with wheat germ, salt and pepper and Tobasco sauce. Great stuff.
