I do not know anyone who wears these. They make me think of an old lady at the library.

I tried the cord thing once. Somebody gave me one for free. I couldn't get used to it. I just do what I'm doing in the picture on the left: peer over the top. There, you see, an honest picture ... me, in all my critical, authoritative splendor.
