Yes... many eons ago when I was " young and dumb ".....newly married, but pissed off about something....i hit the poor guy w/a huge book ( The Manhattan Phone Book Directory ).............weighs a ton...

It was the only thing handy other than an ash tray and a heavy candlestick....i thought that i was being very considerate at the time.... :)

how about you?

YES! I use my books to smack my husband when he pisses me off but only when I am reading traditional, I don't want to throw my phone at him.

No, but that's a good idea! I should definitely use a book as a weapon in the future!

No, I'm not of a violent disposition. Anyway, I'd be afraid it might boomerang.

I haven't used a book as a weapon but a book has become a dangerous harmful object and injured me when it fell of the book shelf. It happened to have very tough sharp plastic edges and cut my foot. Does this count?

If I was pushing for memories of using a book as a weapon, I have killed a fly by slamming a book shut. The fly is probably still there.

"You want weapons? We're in a library. Books are the best weapon in the world. This room's the greatest arsenal we could have. Arm yourself!"

Sorry...I'm not sorry. I never miss the chance to quote the Doctor.

Absolutely! It's one of the easiest ways to kill nasty insects I don't want in my room. Use a paper towel under a hardback book I don't like and squash them, then clean up with some sanitizing wipes.

Same here. Ive swatted a few flies with books but never a person. My wife once threw a newspaper at me in a fit of anger. Does that count?
