Well, my rarest animal i saw was a Walking Stick back in fith grade. I was amazed by its camouflage. Since, then i being wanting a Walking stick as a pet.

How did it look like? Was it scary or pretty? Did it had arotten smell? Where were you when you saw this rare object? Person? Place? Thing? What was the first thing it went through your mind? Where you amazed?

A green coloured E.T.!............I was in Area 51, it stank to high heaven ( like an opened bottle of old Kim-Chee, EGADS! ), VERY SCARY, I COULDN'T BREATHE as it started to approach me, and then...

I woke up in my nice warm bed...

Ive seen rare things in dreams too. I cant think of much in real life. I did see something rare a while back. I was at the Globo and bought a bunch of veg and fruit. I left the stand with an armload of bags, took them to the car, went back to the Globo to look around some more. I was there for about a half hour or so when this guy came running up to me with a bag of stuff I forgot to pick up. He looked all over that place for me for quite a while before he found me to give me the bag. About a dollars worth of stuff, but that guy was determined that I should get it. Now that is rare.

I did see some hand-written manuscripts by Edgar Allan Poe once, I guess that would be rare.

I have seen a lot of very old and rare books, but only through a glass case.

Iguassu Falls in Brazil ( it made my hometown " Niagra Falls " resemble a kitchen faucet...

I guess it depends on where you are.
When I lived in the country, I would see wild tanuki (it's a kind of raccoon-related animal) all the time. Now in the city, you don't see them. But I saw one in my neighborhood once. That was super rare!!!
In Barbados, I saw some monkeys hanging out in the parking lot of the hotel. One of them was carrying a baby on her back. That's not rare for the locals, but it was rare for me.
And last Christmas, I saw a bald eagle perched in its nest near my sister's house.

A distinct " parting of waters " by color delineation when 2 rivers meet, when I was cruising on the Amazon..surprising that this wasn't incl amongst the 7 wonders of the world list...a sight to behold...

Ive seen rare things in museums. The one in Temple Square in Salt Lake has cool stuff. Old guns, it was one of the best gun collections in the world until it was robbed. Clothes that belonged to Brigham Young and his wives, old kitchenware, even a set of dentists tools from that era. Glad I didnt live back then with a toothache. Some of that stuff looked like it came from a carpenters toolbox. They also had a rock from the moon.

Thats a neat place. We heard the Tabernacle Choir rehearsing one time, but they wouldnt let us inside. But the door was open, we could hear them OK. Fantastic group.

You'd love the Museum of Natural History in NYC, incredible !

Ive heard about it. That would be something to see.

A Doctor Who pinball machine (it worked too!) at a tourist spot in upper Michigan. It was just stuck in the corner of one of their old-cool-junk-that-we-didn't-know-where-else-to-put buildings that we could walk through. They are pretty rare, at least in the U.S. as far as I have seen.
