I think everybody does at some point. I have them often enough. I have elbowed and kicked st my husband a couple times recently because of it. Just like he woke up about to punch me because of a nightmare.

Yeah, especially lately since I've been binge watching the X-files on netflix. It's weird because when I was a kid I used to watch the X-files and be really scared of the aliens, now as an adult I'm getting the nightmares but they aren't that bad.
Last semester I had nightmares about school and I was waking up terrified about homework. College is scarier than silly nightmares sometimes, at least to me.

I used to have recurring ones when I was younger, but they've such stopped since I've grown--with the exception of one horror film which made them return for a small amount of time (that I will never watch again).

Mine were " recurring " too............always the same theme, missing a plane, train, or ship departure due to my being late...

I love the mindless off-topic threads on the Forums, it makes books almost redundant.....

I have them quite often, luckily I don't kick anyone, I just wake up in the middle of the night and can't fall asleep for a long time after that, my therapyst said that can happen due to heart disorders, so he advised me to check my heart rate regularly, I decided to wear Beets BLU hrm during the day, so as to make sure all works correctly

When I was a kid, sure. As an adult my nightmares more or less have to do with missing children or finding the exit for the airport.

Last night I dreamed that my coworker (a guy I have barely said two words to) made my brother cry because he (the coworker) told my brother that he was a terrible English teacher. A) My brother is about 20 years older than my coworker and would never cry over the words of some "punk kid." B) My brother is NOT an English teacher. Not quite nightmarish...
Whoa... this post just posted itself 3 times for no reason! SCARY!

I have a recurring nightmare where I'm trapped in an extraordinarily large house and it starts to cave in on itself. I never manage to escape in time to survive. o.o I'm sure there's a deeply troubling subconscious meaning to that, but honestly I'd rather not know.
