All those jokes about using it as a " DOOR-STOP "........( I'd bet my house that they'd never had a good one! )

The xmas season wouldn't be complete for me w/o it!, and my 2nd fave: a YULE LOG, ( Buche du Noel ) w/my preference being the cherry-chocolate....

I've tried and tried…but I'll stick with the yule log, lol.

I've always wanted to try the Yule log! The fruitcake, I will leave to my Dad. He loves them!

My dad loves the good ol' doorstop fruit cake for some reason. Just that weird block thing you find at the store. I actually make an epic fruit cake though... more like a spice cake and I use dried instead of candied fruit. But yes Candied fruit is weird to me.

It goes w/o saying, I'm only talking about a GOOD quality fruit cake, not the crap found in the supermarket WHICH SHOULD ONLY BE USED AS A DOORSTOP....

P.S. why does that pic remind me of MEATBALLS?...hehe, I can almost smell the garlic...

It does look kind of like meatballs stuffed with peppers or something.
