Whenever I sit and begin thinking about my life. I think about my most treasured gift ever given to me; it is a gold locket that was given to me by my father. He is no longer with me . However I wear this gold locket that he gave me about 20 years ago around my neck everyday. It has our picture in it (he was reading me a bedtime story) and it is and always will be my most treasured gift.

It's funny how the little things are the most meaningful to us.

Does anyone else have or remember a memorable, treasured gift -- we're you the Giver or the receiver?

My most memorable gift was all the cute little homemade ornaments my children made for me at school. They took he time to wrap them and were so excited when i opened them. I hang them on the tree every year.

Ahh that is so special... The gifts that keeps on giving. I can just imagine their little faces while you were unwrapping them.

The looks on their faces were priceless. It is always the litle things that count.

When my children did not have money on a mother's day, and they got a pot in a raffle. They came home running really happy for having something to give me

Aw, do you still have the pot ? That was really sweet. I remember my daughter giving me this painting that she made in art class one year for Mothers Day. The painting was hideous! But it still got framed and it's own place on the mantle. I still have that painting and it's been many years ago.

That is sweet. Children give the best gift's.

I received a scrapbook from my daughter. She compiled pictures of me doing what I do everyday and entitled it: Things I love about you mom. She even had a picture of me sleeping with my little Kimmie when she sprained her leg.........I am not gonna cry again...

Yes, of course it is like a treasure.

A brand new Jag all gift wrapped w/red ribbon, and a card on the dashboard sitting in the driveway on Valentine's day...

We were struggling financially, for the longest time due to a new business venture my husband had embarked upon

It was w/the monies from his first big business deal that he bought me my " dream car "...it meant a lot to me...

A few yrs. later we visited the Jaguar factory in Coventry, England and on a guided tour watched a car from start to finish on the assembly line...truly amazing...( they even had their own Tanneries for the leather interiors )

Today , the car (1975 XJ6C ) is still in the family, I gave it to my 18 yr. old grandson who's been " lusting " after it for years...

Aww…those are the best gifts ever. The ones made for you from the heart of a loved one. Sweet. My granddaughter has a heart of gold and is always making special gifts.

My mother's engagement ring, as her eldest daughter it came to me in her will & I have worn it continously since. Kinda sad but nice to remember her everytime I glance down at my hand on the keyboard.

Fran, my mother gave me her engagement ring too...I'd always admired it because of the " Art-Deco " styling...

Another ABSOLUTELY GREAT gift was my Kindle from my daughter...
The best part is she keeps loading it w/books on a regular basis!

Aww Fran. That is really special. I have always resented the fact that my older sister got my mother's ring However, I did get some of her most loved jewelry. But I really wanted her ring to give to my daughter one day.. Oh well.. I know that you treasure it with all of your heart..
