Ways to Stay Un-Carsick while Reading

Hi there! Just thought you might like to know a couple helpful ways to keep from getting carsick when you read!

1. Play music, loudly.
It's good to play music, especially on headphones! It will help solve the disconnect between your ears and eyes.

2. Read in bursts of less than 30 minutes.
Try to take a break every half hour to let your senses recover. About fifteen minutes of just relaxing should counteract the sickness.

3. Rest.
Almost the same as the last one, but close your eyes! Your ears will readjust much more quickly this way.

4. Talk while reading.
I've found that the vibrations from the throat into the head seem to block out some of the nausea that comes from the loss of balance.

All great tips
One more that you could possibly add: I don't know if you've heard of sea bands before? They're like little sleeves that fit around your arms and little semi circles press into your wrists, focusing on some nerves or something which help reduce effects of motion sickness. They are usually used on boat rides, but they work great for reading in the car :)
Look them up if you want- they're pretty common and affordable

Aw, thanks for the tips.... unfortunately, I read on busy buses and trains and can't really use these. :( Except the rest thing, but I'm never on a single bus long enough to have for a rest anyway...

LOL. Yes, That's the first one.
Also, don't read and drive at the same time.

For those of you who don't get car-sick, that will be a plus with those self-driving cars.
