Well, each search engine presents own results. For me, currently I'm still using google to look for information and in case I didn't get what I want, then I'll turn to Bing.

In terms of look and appearance, I will give Bing thumbs up for this.

Hello,

Really I think that the main difference seems to be the presentation of results. The non-beta version offers some results in categories but it seems that only the US have got the fully fledged version so far. Microsoft confirmed that the MSNBot crawler has had no major changes.

I tried Bing once, and tested it for myself against Google. Google brought up exactly what I was looking for toward the top of the search. I've stuck with Google so far but to fair I didn't stick around to explore much of Bing's other features because I got frustrated with the search results.

nah bings much easier to manipulate, thus it gives worse results, google has a much more complex algorithm so gives betters results

there's a pretty cool site called google-vs-bing dotcom that lets you enter a query once, then pops up results for both search engines. I typed in "online book forum" for fun, and onlinebookclub dotorg was No. 1 in Google. It wasn't even on the first page in Bing.

I worry about Google taking over the Internet - they're trying to get in everywhere now and sneakily getting you to do everything with them - your email, your word processing, your data storage.

Monopolies are usually bad things, unfortunately it costs a lot of money to even be a player in the market of search engines, there are so many pages. So the only alternatives to Google are big companies like MS and Yahoo.
