I prefer reading in a quiet environ but I can solve mathematics in a noisy environment though,which do you prefer?

Quiet. Definitely quiet. I can read in a noisy one if there's absolutely no choice, but I always prefer silence. Noise distracts me too much.

I prefer a quiet atmosphere. I have two small children who are very distracting. I was trying to ready earlier and my son wanted to sit next to me and fidget. It's rather difficult to focus when you keep getting bumped.

I so know how you feel, I have four younger ones, who I take care of when my parents are away,so am like a second mum,I can't read when they are around except when they are asleep. I wonder how it would be when I have a family of mine,my regards to your kids.THANKS FOR POSTING.

Quiet. I easily lose concentration if it's noisy.

If I'm reading for enjoyment, anywhere is fine. But if I have to read something, say a textbook, then I like controlled noise. Essentially, controlled noise is like a track of white noise so my brain can still listen actively. For some reason, I can't have total silence but chatter or regular, everyday noises, distract me.

I love a peaceful quiet environment. Where I can attain maximum focus.

A saying goes'One man's food,another man's poison' what you prefer is rejected in my sight,that's what the saying meant.I have friends who plug earpiece in their ears or Increase the volume of music so loud while reading, I can't do that but hey thanks for contributing, and

It doesn't matter. When i'm lost in a book, i'm truly lost. I hear nor see anything around me. It's like twilight. My husband and my sisters usually get annoyed because i'm nowhere near "hello earth" and no one can get me to pay anything else attention... usually ends with them knocking it out of my hand.. figures.

I like to read when it's not noisy. It gives me calmness and it's easy to picture out what is happening in the book. Makes me think a lot of possible things that might be included in the book.

Mostly quiet. Sometimes if there is background noise example...dog barking....I will put on my headphones to try to drown the noise out with some soothing music so I can still concentrate on reading. But for the most part after being at work all day, I prefer as quiet as possible.
