Do you diet? I'm thinking of going on a diet so I can lose some fat and look a little better. What do you eat when you are trying to lose weight?

the only diet that ever worked for me was gillian mckeiths plan because you dont count or weigh anything any you feel totally healthy after a matter of weeks

its quite strict to begin with but it totally works!

Am successfully losing weight, and I dont even call
it a diet..just eating sensibly with three small
meals a day...and plenty, plenty of water and
fruits !

I am this week. I weighed in today at 156 lbs. That's 6 more pounds than the pole which I pole vault with will (legally) hold. I have to lose 6 lbs. (7 to be safe) by saturday morning.
A little advice: dieting alone is not the best choice. Diet mixed with daily exercise helps a lot more. Exercise is key in losing weight by healthful means.

Yeah, that was definately the best part of going down South (when I went to Myrtle Beach not too long ago).
Good news: I weighed in today at 152 lbs. Two to three more pounds to go.

Do you diet?
Like a motivated Jack Kevorkian.
Of the two factors to losing weight I think the food side of the equation is much harder to adjust to long term and is more responsible for how much weight you can lose.

I don't diet although i have lost weight in the last month, but that is most likely from the fact that i can't really afford food so i eat when i can and what i can.

nope, but i eat lotsa seafood, don't like " bad grease " and prefer 6 small meals a day rather than 3 huge ones...
my trick is never to allow myself to get too hungry, which will happen if blood sugar gets too low...
then i become as hungry as a wolf, and would eat ANYTHING!...when i'm out i carry nuts, seeds, and Laughing Cow cheese in my handbag....
protein is the " secret "...lotsa eggs ( " cholestorol scares " are a MYTH!

)...
all the above held me in good stead during my modeling career...the camera adds 10 lbs., so i had to be super-thin
but more importantly i never got sick...luckily i've always loved fruits and veggies which are very healthy and FILLING.........

All depends on what you consider " good food "...
i'd pick a thick/juicy homemade Burger cooked on my charcoal grill over a " fast-food mystery meat " one in a N.Y. heartbeat...
but hey! that's just moi...

No, I've seen too many diets end poorly for the people around me. If I ever decide that I want to start becoming healthier, I'll change what I eat permanently and include more fruits and vegetables in my meals as well as incorporating regular exercise.

I've went through a recent life change where I exercise with my husband. He's a boxer so he kills me daily with running and lifting. He calls it 'training' which makes me feel like he's going to put me in the ring or something. Which will be embarrassing because it looks like I'm swimming when I try to fight. Not that I ever do.
What I eat had been changed drastically, but I enjoy it most days. The trick is to let yourself indulge in your favorite foods every once in a while.
