Where Would You Be Right Now If These Forums Didn't Exist?

Theorectically, you could be anywhere.

This question is one of the hardest questions forum-posters can ever have. But I'm curious about where you'd be right now.

I would undoubtedly be posting in another forum (I post a lot). We'll all be somewhere different, I suppose.

Hmm...If I wasn't posting here right now and could be anywhere in the world?

I would be in a villa Spain eating healthy food and enjoying the sun by an infinity pool reading.

But in reality I would most likely be in another forum feeling as if something was missing but not quite knowing what.

I would definitely be on another literary forum. There are some really good ones out there. But I tend to stay loyal to this one, especially because of some of the people I have met on this one. Its nice to come across people who share your views and are great and entertaining to talk to. You know who you are people. :)

I would sitting here glued to the television. Why because I wouldn't have found the forum. I don't belong to any other forums at all. I don't want to be on any other forum. This is just right. I would not have found new books to read, for example the craziness of Jasper Fforde (Thanks, Fran :D ), I would not have made friends, and my life would be the same old, same old as it was before. Sitting here, wishing I had somebody to talk to, wishing I had something to do, wishing there was something worth watching on TV, wishing I had a good book to read, and basically wishing life were better. It's like Jacob said, this forum can change your life. My whole life hasn't changed, and I still wish it were different, but it feels good to log in here and find people who actually like me. Or seem to at least. People who actually get me, and don't call me a stupid nerd for liking to read. It's hard when the one person you spend most of your time with critizises you for the things you love most in life. This forum, like books, has become an escape for me. It's somewhere that I can go, and actually have a little bit of fun without somebody makeing fun of me and calling me a stupid child. I am NOT a stupid child, I just like to have a little fun, and enjoyment out of life. Sure sometimes I go about it in a silly way, but hey, as long as it makes me feel good, it doesn't matter.

So, in short, if I weren't on the forum, I would be miserable.

I would be divy-ing up my time between multiple sites I guess... the wicca forum I post on, my book blog, video game websites... and definitely goodreads :)

Id probably be sitting in front of the idiot box watching some peice of crap ive seen before. This forum has been good to me, I like everyone on it. I live alone, and this helps with the loneliness. And Teesie, dont worry about what other people think. The ones who think reading is for nerds probably dont have the smarts to get past reading Dick and Jane anyway, and they are probably jealous of you because you are a reader. So go for it kiddo, and to hell with them. And there is nothing wrong with being a little bit nuts, Ive been half nuts all my life and ive done ok.

Dont let them get you down. You have friends here.

I'd probably be sitting here reading a book longing to share my opinion of it with someone who was actually interested. Instead of going 'listen to this' to a nerd with his head stuck in a motorcycle magazine (with pictures of course!). Forums are my tenuous link with sanity.

@ Teesie ... Wow we have another Jasper fan ... Maud & Gannon will be so pleased. Those two really have started something, hope Jasper is paying them a commission

@ Bighuey .... Don't be lonely we're here to cheer even if we're in a different time zone.

I would probably be browsing the web for cheap holiday deals! I love my holidays and try to see as much as the world as possible during the year so i spend a good bit of time emailing, Facebook and booking things, and other time reading (and sometimes i go to work!), but i think this is a great forum simply for the diversity and mix of genre fans here. I am a member of a gaming forum but i rarely use it as my interest has faded in games the past year. I was a member of another very popular book forum but i found them very clannish and the amount of new posts every day meant your points and opinions would be washed away by the constant tide so it was hard to get a decent conversation or get to know individual people. I think here its bang on the money with the mix of people plus we are friendly to new members.

@ Teesie, glad the place gives you a laugh and some pleasure. :D

There are actually but there layout turns me off. (I won't name them of course   )

You are not child are you? I thought you are already married.
Anyways, I'm glad someone here thinks this forum is a family.

Sorry for the bummer. I would probably in goodreads. I am always there a lot. Its because there are many Filipino people. That means when we chat/post, replies comes fast. :]

But of course this forum, being the most friendly one I ever come across, has no replacement.
