Most unusual dinner you have made

What is the most unusual recepe you have made? Today I wanted something a little different for dinner. I started to make some broccoli soup, but that sounded kind of plain. I put the broccoli in the pan, but it didnt look very appetizing by itself. I looked around in the fridge and cupboard to see what else I could throw in the pot, I found a can of mushroom soup and figured that looks good. I threw it in. (Not the can, just the contents) Then I saw a can of mixed veg that I bought a long time ago and forgot about and added that. It still didnt look right so I put in a chopped onion. Then I saw the rice container and thought, hey, I like rice so ill put that in. I saw a small can of chilies on the shelf, gotta have that. It went in. Then I saw an old potato that was starting to grow sprouts and I didnt want that to go to waste so in it went. There was a black banana by the potato and I thought...... no, it didnt go in. I looked in the fridge to see what was there but by then my pot was starting to overflow so I dumped the mess in a bigger pan. Anyway I found some leftover scrambled chorizo and eggs from a few days ago, thought I better use that, too. I had a couple of slices of ham so it went in. I added a cut up tomotillo, I like those, then I saw a couple of old carrots so in they went. Hate to waste food. By then the pot was looking pretty good so I put canned milk in and a few spices, garlic, oregano, soy sauce, salt and pepper and mixed it up, turned on the heat, and stood back to see what would happen. Well, nothing evil came crawling out of the pan or exploded so I guess it was ok. Cooked it for about an hour and a half and surprisingly, it came out pretty good. It was a little thick, I thought I might have to dig it out with a shovel but that was not the case. A common garden trowel worked just fine. It was quite good. I have a bunch left over as I couldnt eat much, it was filling. I can eat on it for a week. When you live alone as I do, a person becomes very inventive in the culinary department.

I like to try different things, but sometimes they dont come out so good. Some of it the dogs wont even eat.

As for me im not adventurous when it comes to cooking i leave other people in restaurants do that for me ha ha

When all your friends are chocoholics, the logical thing for dinner is chocolate. I made no concession for dietary requirements and the result was rich, smooth, melt-in-the-mouth, deliciously chocolatey delights which made us all very sick next day!

That Plague of the Guts scares me. You might want to be careful of beans, also. I read somewhere the ancient Romans believed eating beans caused pregnancy.

I'd say it would depend on what you were doing while eating them

I had some of my left-over slop for dinner with some fried habenera peppers and onions, its even better the second time around.

The only thing you can say about my cooking is that it's unusual. I have found I do better if I don't name it until I've finished making it. I started out one night making spaghetti sauce and ended up with chili.

i normally put too many ingredients in be be honest and get a bit carried away! Last time i cooked i can't even remember what it was! best get a receipt and stick to it as opposed to freestyling it.

I have once when i visited Singapore last year. I am pure veg. It was amazing to have Non. veg dinner.
