Have to completely agree with you there Fran. Nothing beats it.Fran wrote:Cadbury's Dairy Milk ... the original & still the best
My brother used to deliver Milk to the Cadbury factory & he regularly came home with a big bag of broken chocolate bars ... you'd think they would have just melted them all in together & made new bars but thankfully they didn'tRuqeeD wrote:Have to completely agree with you there Fran. When I really want to indulge I pop into Hotel Chocolat and really go for the good stuff, seriously 100% pure indulgence and only a once in really long while thing.
Yeeeessssss! I get a great sugar buzz from that, too. Seems like every time I drink Boone's I end up at the CC Rider clubhouse. Not sure why...Bighuey wrote:The best chocolate I have ever tasted was my mother's home made fudge. The second best was Brown+Haleys Mountain Bars. I went through their plant in Tacoma, Wash and bought boxes of them from their store. Yum. @ Tralala, Im the same way about wine. Someone gave us a bottle of some expensive wine for Xmas one year, 40 dollars a bottle and it tasted like vinegar. Same thing with champainge, to me it tastes like something you find in a barnyard. Barf. Give me good old Boone's Farm anytime.
Im the same way with Boones. The only difference is, if I drink too much I usually end up on the floor.Tralala wrote:Yeeeessssss! I get a great sugar buzz from that, too. And thanks for reminding me! My grandmother's fudge is the best chocolate I've ever had. I've no idea if it's even home made, but it's great!
Don't end up on the floor at the Rider house! Bikers aren't too good at cleaning, despite their spotless appearances.Bighuey wrote:Im the same way with Boones. I think that was somewhere up in Scotland. Glasgow I believe. The first I knew of it was when I watched it on Masterchef and thinking what?? deep fried mars bars??Maud Fitch wrote:Mars Bar. Three countries, UK, USA and Australia have their own versions but the gorgeous mixture of nougat and soft caramel coated in milk chocolate is a drooling delight.
(Rumour has it that deep-fried Mars Bars were available from some fish-and-chip shops in the UK).
What would come first? High cholesterol or a heart attack?RuqeeD wrote:I think that was somewhere up in Scotland. Glasgow I believe. The first I knew of it was when I watched it on Masterchef and thinking what?? deep fried Mars Bars??
