I agree. The talent of a poet is to portray different emotions through their writing. However, if you try to portray a particar mood you don't feel, the poem is no longer genuine. That's just my opinion.

Yeah I agree to that! Poetry should go with what you feel that's something about poetry!

I think it is possible but it won't feel the truest or hit the readers hard. It can still be good, but because the writer isn't feeling those things they won't be expressed as deep.

I think a poet writes what he/she is feeling so to write what they are not experiencing will prove to be difficult.
