I sing and did it for a living for about ten years. I play the piano like I play golf. I hack at it.

Sadly, only the piano (my parents were cheapskates :lol2: )

I manage to find time between books and school to dabble in a piece or two at home.

Are not many instruments like languages, once you have learned one then others become easier?

This is my 6th year playing the violin, and I have absolutely no doubt that this will be a hobby of mine for the rest of my life.

I am playing the piano since five years old. My aunt was a piano teacher and I learned with her. Recently I don't play so much because I feel stress with the problems of everyday life, but when I feel relaxed and have more time for myself in order to play, I really enjoy it!

I play leader guitar in a heavy metal band called Blood Dancer. It's sort of Iron Maiden-esque in a way. I love playing guitar and singing, as well as writing music and performing. Playing live a lot has made me comfortable around crowds, which is a great plus when doing book signings and readings, too! :)

For a time I was learning to play the guitar. At some point I stopped but my beginners acoustic collecting dust in my closet has been calling for me. I seem to have difficulty continuing my practices even with my negative thinking I will never get good. Does anyone have this problem?

Oboe! For 10 years throughout school and some in college. I still have it and play it sometimes, but then realize how much I've lost from not playing so long and quickly put it away.

I play the clarinet, bass clarinet, and at onevery short time I played the tenor sax. I want to learn how to play the acoustic guitar because of one of my favorite musicians, Passenger. He is an amazing singer/songwriter.
