How about Jan and Dean? They had a few hits.
Ive got a tape of The Rolling Stones Ive had for years that I only played once. When I first heard them I didnt care for them much, but I played the tape the other day and found they arent too bad. I guess tastes change over the years.

Ive been listening to The Surfaris, they were another surf music group. They were pretty good instrumentalists. The drummer sounds like he is in fast forward.

Bony Morinie was a classic. Little Richard did a version of it too.
And we cant forget Bill Haley And The Comets either. Some say he originated rock+roll. Its possible. But some also say it was originated by Louis Jordan with his version of Caldonia.

Ive heard The Lindy. I believe it was before the jitterbug, it was named after Charles Lindberg and came out after his flight to Paris.
