Wow... I love your list... :D

I also like Radiohead and Cranberries. Their lyrics are very strong with wonderful words.

RHCP
Black Sabbath
Victor Wooten
Bela Fleck
Manowar
Buddy Guy
The Who
Iron Maiden
Tool
Bad Brains
Pink Floyd

Man...music in general. I love it all, except for most country and crappy, cookie cutter rap.

The Grateful Dead, Ani DiFranco and Dar Williams display the most amazing combination of lyrics and music.

Just about anything if they are singing/playing themselves (ie not sampled/dubbed) ...with the exception of marching bands!

I'm very bi-polar when it comes to music...I'm all over the place, one minute I'll be sitting..sippin on my earl grey listening to Mozart.."Lacrimosa"...then I like to get crunked...I'll also jam and rock out too. Pop is good. All kinds..all over..no censor

I love most kinds of music, but artists that top my list are acoustic with fabulous lyrics. I'm a lyrics girl, at heart.

My favourites include: John Mayer, Joni Mitchell, Jewel, Ray LaMontagne, Dustin Kensrue, David Gray, Damien Rice, etc.

<contencious> Shame he didnt quit before his voice did ....oh and My Way - yuk! </>
That should put Kae's cat amongst Star's nocturnal birdies (only metaphorically girls)
