Snow Falls was great daclawson! What's funny, is I read it twice, and the second time, I realized I was singing. Nice work

The intensity of a blaze raging out of control,
A passionate fury can be glimpsed in the glow;
wild desire running high, drifting into fantasy,
emotionally consumed by the ecstasy.

Reality melting down around me,
replaced by the pleasure heard in my sighs;
Love is told by my body's gyrating stir,
as the flame brightly flares in my eyes.

watching the trees gently swaying
in the soft spring breeze,
she wondered if she could fly,
she went to the top of the house
and jumped.
NO,
she cannot.

Tears For Oklahoma

DEDICATED TO THOSE WHO LOST LOVED ONES IN OKLAHOMA CITY IN APRIL 1995

Living without you, feeling such pain,
yet knowing that life must go on;
I function in limbo, my eyes filled with tears,
my heart filled with sorrow and rage.
Why did this happen? Can't someone say?
Why were you taken from my life today?
Your memory will always be with me,
the love I feel for you won't fade;
I talk to you daily as if you're still here,
My mind knowing, not admitting you're gone.

Gods Smallest Angels

For all the abused and neglected children of the world

Gods smallest angels walk the earth,
if we could only see;
they are born to earthly mothers,
their guardians are we.

I won't believe God sent them,
to be broken and abused;
some people just aren't hearing,
Gods message, they're confused.

Children bruised and bloodied,
the news gets worse each day;
we must care enough to stop it,
before God takes them away.

Though not always angels,
the devil in them strong;
they need to know that they are loved,
and feel like they belong.

God sends his smallest angels,
he puts them in our care;
our goal should be to make them feel,
safe and loved while there.

Nobody Home

I don't sit home waiting for love to come call,
though I'm spending all my time alone;
the next time I hear love knock on my heart,
if it's you, there's nobody home.

When I answered the knock to admit you,
I didn't know what was in store;
you cheated and hurt me, then broke my heart,
if you knock, I'm not home anymore.

When you left I reached the conclusion,
that no-one at all in my life;
was better for me in the long run,
than being a cheating mans wife.

So don't come knocking again at my heart,
thinking I'll let you come home;
you better believe when I tell you,
if it's you, there's nobody home.

Time Goes On

About the horrors of life today

Time goes on, through pain and fear,
Hate growing with each tick of the clock;
War, assassins, terrorism, even death,
Nothing halts the passage of time.
WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf,
To name a few of the 20th-century wars.
Kennedy, King, Kennedy, Lennon--great men cut down
In a short space of time by assassins' bullets,
Others barely escaping with their lives.
The World Trade Center, Oklahoma City,
Too many terroristic attacks in foreign countries to count.
Mengele, Manson, Dahmer, Menendez;
Only some of the horrific killers of our time.
Colorado, Mississippi, Oregon, Tennessee,
So many children killing children in our schools,
The list of deaths endless, the reasons obscure.
Yet, through it all, time goes on.
Pausing for nothing, stopping for no one,
Time goes on.

Intimate Entity

To become as a single living entity,
bodies entwined in passion;
the most intimate, yet
frightening gesture.
Wanting more of you, needing all,
to be joined in more than body;
in mind and soul as well.

I might as well follow suit and post some more stuff..... why not? lol

Never Dreamt

there is something beautiful residing
effortless and fluid like
swarming and relaxing
in the small crevaces that you've created.
only for you
have I been dwelling
taking up this small space
only to catch another hopeful
glimpse of what was
what never will be
and what you never dreamt.

I've spent days with my eyes closed
roaming different galaxies
seeking out different thoughts,
different routes,
in disbelief that this one was it.
this is a prerequisite
inevitable
undetachable
...unsatisfactory.

Do I have to accept
these arrows that all point inward
just because this implosion is necessary?
the words, the vows,
the short term honesty
the ideas and the justifications
it all makes for such a great sleep
to dream of the things
you never dreamt.

This is what happens when boredom has taken over.

The pain is nearly
unbearable. You are
filled with a deep sense of
violation and despair.
Yet you can do nothing
to save yourself,
just as no one else will do
anything to protect you.

Dirty one. Though it got a bit lame in the middle, when Chesty started to take over and couldn't make it sound pretty anymore. (Chesty is my dirrrrty-girl alter ego). For the record, I have several sex poems, and it's funny because they're all about a specific ..uh... interlude.. and I ended up titling them all by location. Didn't even realize I did it until I went back and was reading them. I have 2 more: 'At the Drive-In', and '104 Sundridge Drive, Apt. 11'. Sterling and Apt 11 are the same person.
Woo. Overshare.

On Sterling Ave.
He says 'come on over'
You jump in the car
Climb the stairs to his place
Glad you didn't have to drive far
It?s one a.m.
You know why you're there
He presses his lips to yours
Your fingers tangled in his hair
You peel off your sweater
The temperature starting to rise
Your pants already gone
His hands upon your thighs
Stumbling toward the bedroom
Slamming shut the door
Falling onto the mattress
Throwing clothes on the floor
You push your hips down on his
Ripping a groan from his throat
Now you've got him whimpering
Saying words you?d blush to quote
One hand on your waist
The other on the back of your neck
He grins that sexy smile
Before just teasing your lips with a peck
Now it's your turn to be pinned
Your arms on the pillow above your head
His mouth wet on your nipple
Your body goes heavy as lead
He moves to your neck, your face
You raise your hips to beg
He only smiles again
Moving a hand to your leg
Your breath coming in gasps
You can't take much more
His body is what you crave ? now
From your flesh to your very core
He finally gives you what you need
Joining himself with you
Your eyes roll back in their sockets
You could swear, once inside, he grew
Undulating in some erotic dance
Your eyes open but a crack
He groans in rapture against your throat
You cry out, digging your nails in his back
He lies on his side facing you
Playing with your hair, leaning in for a kiss
You drift off into a blissful slumber
Thinking 'I could get used to this'

and not dirty...

Tremble
When I'm finally honest
you doubt what I feel
Don't you think I would know
When my feelings are real
I know all these years
I've caused you so much pain
And maybe all this heartache
Will cause relationship strain
But maybe we should try
Before we just give it all up
You say it's not enough for us
But what more do we need than love
You fought to push yourself in my life
I fought to push you away
Now I'm pulling to keep you from going
And I fear you'll choose not to stay
If you're going to leave
Just answer me this
Why is your every embrace so tight?
And why do you tremble when we kiss?

And this one, while sad, was fun. I think it was in 10th grade English I wrote this, one of the few poem assignments I've ever enjoyed in my life (I hate forcing poetry).

We had to find an article in the newspaper, and turn in into a poem.
This one was about Princess Diana, it was just after her death, and they had found a letter she'd written to the boys in case she died, and it was as if she knew she would die soon:

Like I said, the topic is sad, but the poem is cute, and I remember I was babysitting when I did this, triplets, age 3, running around on too much sugar, and I wrote this in like 10 minutes.

Di's Legacy: The Children She Left Behind
Diana gave Charles a message
for her sons Harry and Wills
She nearly predicted her own passage
This is what gave them the chills

Charles let the boys sleep
for them to gain their strength
But all too soon they would weep
for a time of great length

In the morning when the boys awoke
they were led to a sitting room
For a moment, no one spoke
Then the news came like a boom

?Your mother has passed away,?
the boys were gently told
Onto their calm emotional state
the two could no longer hold

Harry and William, twelve and fifteen
hugged their father and wept
Soon they were joined by the Queen
In her arms they were kept

?Don?t cry for me too long, my dears,?
was part of the message from Di
The boys were brave despite their fears
There were no more tears left to cry

?As you go through life, be true to yourselves.
Follow you heart and you?ll never go wrong.
Trust yourself and nobody else,?
was Diana?s inspirational song

Our princess is gone; their ?mum? has passed
But let?s not let our own lives sever
Cherished memories remain ever vast
Through her sons, Princess Diana will live forever
