Don't know if there's a post for this already. But how about a place to review books about musical performers? 8) 8) 8)

To start I just ordered a book through Amazon about singer Ian Dury. I saw it in barnes and Noble one day then of course couldn't find it next time. It pays to shop around for titles, BN had it listed only as a used paperback import for $25, Amazon was $7 and change. Back in the day there was a record label called Stiff. Interesting roster...Lene Lovich, sorta Bjork only goofier looking...Nick Lowe and sidekick Dave Edmunds both popular in their own right...Wreckless Eric, one listen to "Reconnez Cherie" and you get the drift...and Ian Dury and the Blockheads Sex and drugs and rock and roll is all me brain...Sing with me!

For us music nerds of a certain age-look up the publisher Chicago Review Press, their catalog has an absolutely awesome variety of music titles...other subjects as well

Another book that is very well written and researched-"The Sensational Alex Harvey" by John Neil Munro. Poor Alex, tireless performer with a spectacular stage act. Unfortunate that he couldn't have held on for even five more years to the advent of MTV. In the last years of his life he was bitter, not having reached the success video would certainly have given him.
