I love poetry, but I cannot enjoy the full meaning of English poetry as it is not in my mother tongue. what can I do?

If you really want to read English Poetry I would suggest to photocopy the poem then write the meanings of the words you don't know in the margins. You could also look online to see if someone has studied the poem. Good luck.

I like Pablo Neruda and other poets who wrote in Spanish, when I get stuck there is always a place online to explain it or it has been translated into English. Sometimes it isn't very good translating, but it helps me when I hit a rough patch.
BTW I speak English and I don't always enjoy the full meaning of English poetry.
Sometimes it just means whatever it means to you, like music, or a play, the words that touch you and mean something to you may have meant something else entirely to the person who wrote it.
