A Poem About Books Written in Maths Class

Post by Varel Silvita »

Hello......
I was bored to death in math class so I decided to write a poem. So......yeah. ..............................
....... Each line is for a a book, however some books are repeated. Try to guess the books and post them on and.......yeah.Oh, and by the way, most of the books are YA. Actually..... All of them are. So if you like classics or something don't bother reading it.

Smoke rising up from the Dauntless flames
Silver for the glow of Nephilim blades

A pair of topaz stones for his eyes
Indigo to protect you from Alchemist lies

Secrets dwell behind the iron gates
Red is the blood that has tied their fates

Grey for the robes the Brothers don
The spark of a rebellion has been born

From fire and ash, emerges a queen
A scar; a darkness that once has been

So, there. If its too hard, I MIGHT give you clues......
And some feedback would be nice. I know it's not exactly an award-winning piece of writing by a famous, rich poet but .....come on! I wrote it in fricking maths class. Adios, amigos! ( the iPad won't let me do accents-I know how to spell thank you very much)

Hmm....so the only things I can think of are, The first line sounds like Divergent and the last one sounds like Harry Potter. I don't really read much YA. But in any case your poem sounds awesome! It's like a riddle that sounds very pretty. :)

First off, I just want to say that I really like this poem, and I wish that math class had been as inspiring for me as it obviously is for you! That being said, I'm having a really hard time nailing down which books inspired the lines. I'm going to hazard a guess on one of the lines, though--"From fire and ash emerges a queen" makes me think of Katniss from the Hunger Games trilogy. Am I in the ballpark? I also agree with knighthkm about the last line being inspired by Harry Potter.

Yes, the last line is from Harry Potter, the first line is from Divergent. From ash and fire emerges a queen is from The Throne of Glass series. The spark of a rebellion has been born is from hunger games.

Oh, and the third line is reaaaaaaaaally easy. It's from the best romance series ever.
