Sweet December sunlights

I wrote this a few days ago, hope you find it enjoyable.
I'm on the rooftop, lost in my thoughts.
Eyes closed, headphones on.
With mellow melodies, I let my mind wander on its own.
Thinking about everything but, at the same time, nothing at all.
These cold breezes and little sunlight,
Once again made me realize,
How one more year has gone of my life.
I'm trying to recall everything, even if it hurts.
Recall all those ups and downs; recall all those restless nights.
Recall the times when hundreds of thoughts were running through my mind.
But also the times when I found little lights of hope and joy.
Sitting down like this with my diary, makes me smile quitely.
Seeing how amazing humans are,
wondering how different our lives are.
All are fighting an unknown battle, not knowing when it will settle.
All in search of something that could make us smile.
In a few days, we'll be welcoming a new chapter, a new year.
But here I am still waiting for the acceptance of my old prayer.
These remaining days make me anxious,
Scared of thoughts that are vicious.
Even though I'm uncertain about my future,
At least I'll be a lil mature.
But after all these times,
I'm still thankful to God that he let me savor these sweet December sunlights.
