Spanish Moss

We’ve finished talking for the night
but I still feel the warmth of you
churning through the hollow of my heart,
that part that’s been so empty,
so long.
Stay with me now within your thoughts
and feel the smile of me in your soul.
We watch the storm clouds on the horizon
and we swing in the hammock.
We sway
with the rhythm of time that is today
tomorrow and always.
Spanish moss on cypress
gently swaying against the crimson sunset
reflected in the ocean of our love.
You show me your favorite places
and I touch and feel the summer heat.
