Solitaire Me

I play the cards which I was dealt
in this game of solitaire,
but it seems I am a few cards
shy of a full deck there.

I play the only one I know;
I play the only one I can.
It seems I am a few cards
shy of a winning hand.

I am a few cards shy in my deck
and i never seem to win;
reshuffle, redeal, replay
it's all the same again.

So tell me if you can tell me,
I still want to believe,
Do you have the cards to complete
the deck of solitaire me?

I really should stop this game
and put them back in their slip,
store them once again with my shame
this life a momentary blip;

but I'm not ready to give in
or to give up this fight.
So let's deal another hand,
I'll play right through the night.

I am a few cards shy in my deck
