Do you usually focus on your grammar when making a poetry or music?

I have read a lot of poetry where the poet never uses proper grammar to express himself. I don't think grammar is necessary to focus if you can put your thoughts clearly without proper grammar rules being followed. But yes, basic grammar is needed otherwise..

I usually do until it hinders the piece's progress.

I certainly think it's okay to be playful or imaginative with grammar in poetry, but especially if one is using something approaching a traditional form there should probably at least be a nod in its direction.

Grammar's needed so that the reader doesn't get lost. Depends on how lost you want your reader to be, I guess. I've had poems with no punctuation or capitilization, but the norm is to have grammatical sentences broken up by the line breaks.

Yes. Grammar is very important. In fact, it`s indispensable.

I can't imagine that poetry worth reading would ever dispense with proper grammar. Granted, there are of course instances in which certain grammatical things may be omitted, but I've often found that in the majority of cases, removing a lot of the grammar rules in order to write a poem leaves the poem devoid of developed meaning and proper flow. At the end of the day, grammar is still exceptionally important and really shouldn't be ignored because someone didn't know better or simply didn't feel like using it.

I take consideration in grammar in poetry. However, I tend to focus more on the rhythm, rhyme, and meter of the piece.

There should be basic grammar in poetry but not every grammatical rule has to be or should be followed.

I first write without thinking too deeply about it, just to get the flow going. When I read again I edit it in the process, separating the paragraphs, adding or removing sentences and I make sure the grammar is as best as possible.

Just like a drawing, once you start sketching very loosely just to feel the form, and when you have it, you work on the lineart and focus on perspective, anatomy, proportions and etc.

Grammar is like any other tool in language, and poetry tends to grant you more freedom in when and how you can use it. The majority of my poems are completely grammatical, but because it's such a short-lengthed form, sometimes you need a sentence fragment. Some poems I completely ignore punctuation and capitalization. Some poems I purposefully use a grammar construction to create ambiguity. It depends entirely on the idea I'm trying to communicate.

I think with every literary piece, basic grammar should be followed. Not too much that it takes away from the overall voice of the poem - too much is rather distracting - but enough to know you're aware of what you're doing.

Nope because poetry doesnt require you to. that is the magic of it.

in poetry grammar is not necessary that what makes it nice hehe
