Poem - Woven in Time

A fabric woven, thread by thread,
With golden strands and silver spread,
Delicate, exquisite, yet it weeps,
For love that stirs but never sleeps.

For years I've labored, day by day,
Each moment spent, each word to say,
Weaving love with trembling hands,
A masterpiece that understands.

Half my life, in threads so fine,
Stitched with hopes, your heart entwined,
But threads grow frayed with time’s cruel kiss,
And what was pure is now amiss.

In gold and silver, it is spun,
A gift for you, my only one,
But as I watch, the fabric tears,
A bond once strong now wears and dares.

Each stitch a promise, each knot a plea,
A love that burns yet cannot be,
The tapestry now fades away,
Woven in time, lost in the fray.
