It was decades ago, but I still remember some of the wonderful things I was able to visualise as a child, even though most ideas sound a bit crazy for an adult, but it was so obvious back then. The concept of the book seems great to me and quite interesting, therefore I would like to give it a try despite the fact that usually graphic novels aren't my forte. Congratulations on BOTD!

Why do I think *Figments of Persuasion Field Guide* by Nancy Vallette is a self-help book? It's a guide to living life fuller. And, OMG, the pictures are so breathtaking:
'As the reader reads this book, their imagination will be expanded, and they will be reminded of their childhood fantasies as they are given a whimsical explanation of the feelings that adults experience. A further aspect that I liked was the author's ability to weave everyday feelings that anyone might experience into this book with such a vivid imagination. My imagination was expanded; I had sensations of nostalgia, and every single whimsical aspect of it, including the pictures, brought me joy. It may help you open your mind more, which in turn may assist you in producing new things.'

Colouring was one of my passions growing up and I lost it at some point. Looking forward to getting a physical copy of the book and reviving that passion. This book seems to be full of positivity and promoting the inner child we all have.

"Field Guide to the Figments of Persuasion" by Nancy L Vallette can help you expand and remember your imagination as though you were an innocent child rather than the overworked adult that you are. The reviewer was so taken with the illustrations she went back through the book to enjoy and delight in them again. That is the kind of book that can restore one’s creativity and love of imagination. This is a book for everyone!

Thank you for this gracious review of Nancy Vallette's Field Guide to the Figments of Persuasion. Something is so captivating about revisiting that old childhood creativity and further investigating it with whimsy in storytelling feelings. Colorless illustrations to personal interpretation evoke a certain nostalgia, and in this regard, I am very much excited to delve into. The way the author combines ordinary emotions with imagination, as you mentioned in your review, really got me enthralled. This creative journey will further inspire me and reignite my creative spirit. Your review really inspired me to get into this magical book.

Nancy Vallette's "Field Guide to the Figments of Persuasion" evokes childhood wonder while offering whimsical insights into adult emotions. The book stimulates the reader's imagination, reminiscent of youthful creativity, with familiar terms reinterpreted to reignite that lost innocence. The colorless illustrations are well-suited for enhancing creativity and complement the book's themes, despite sometimes appearing random.
