I found one on one of myCD's the other day I didnt know I had. Irish Lullaby by Michelle Amato, a beautiful song. I remember when I was a kid, we had a record of it by Bing Crosby. Used to play it over and over again.

One of my favorite songs is one I just thought of, it was my third wifes favorite song. The Kentuckian, it was from a movie of the same name. Walter Matthau sang it in the movie and a group called The Hoosier Hotshots came out with a record of it later on.

I see my darlin in every spray of sunlight
I see her walkin in the leaves that fall,
I see her walkin in the rainy April sadness
I hear her name in every bluebirds call.

I told the possum in the gum tree,
I told the racoon on the ground.
I told everyone but my darlin
Of the happiness I found
My heart would cry more
Than the weeping willow tree
That my darlin and her heart
Were not for me.

I find as I age, my taste in music becomes harder and heavier. Who da thunk?

I just heard one of my favorites I havent heard for a long time. Original Dixieland One-Step by the Firehouse Five Plus Two. Thats the best version of it. George Probert does a kick-butt soprano sax solo.

THERE ARE TOO MANY!!!
Okay, if I put all the songs that are my favourites, then I would be here for ages. SO! I'm gonna put the top five songs that I'm listening to AT THE MOMENT. Here goes:
Nowhere Man - The Beatles
Dear God - XTC
Bird Song - Florence + The Machine
Vermilion - Slipknot
It's Not a Fashion Statement, It's a Deathwish - My Chemical Romance
"I was still sitting there, waiting to die, waiting to fossilise, waiting for the coffee in the kitchen to evolve enough to make a cup of itself and bring it through to me, when the phone rang."

I LOVE Janelle Monae! Check her out if you haven't already... put "Tightrope" into the YouTube search box, for instance. Good stuff!
