I was thrilled by the story line
It opened my mind I was able to see the environment the characters were in
By the way I don't remembe the characters someone to remind me

I prefer a well build up romance specially if they are the main characters. This book might not satisfy me after reading it.Ruba Abu Ali wrote: ↑01 Sep 2018, 21:31 I liked the book. But again, historical fiction is one of my preferred genres. I was not satisfied with the build up of the romance, though. I give it 3 out of 4 stars.

This comment made me think the book is not for me. Words such as disappointment and lack of conclusion are things that I do not want to feel after reading a book.CommMayo wrote: ↑15 Sep 2018, 10:46Just be prepared for absolutely no conclusion at the end of this book. If you read this novel and want some sort of closure, you will be signing up for the next in the series. Personally, I don't think I could stand reading another book by this author.Georgia Lyonhyde wrote: ↑14 Sep 2018, 16:32 Thanks for the heads up. Outlander is absolutely amazing. I can't fault it, I love the characters, the concept, the series even though it deviates. It's just brilliant. That said, I still think I want to give this one a chance. Even if it's only half as good, it'll still make for a good read. I love so many different genres depending on my mood that I think I can handle it. Plus, all writers have to start somewhere, I'm hoping this story is a stepping stone to even greater things to come.

My same thought about the book when i read it. The romance really kindof overshadowed the plot.gali wrote: ↑31 Aug 2018, 23:56 I finished the book a couple of days ago and liked it. I liked story line, the interactions between the characters, the world building, the magic system, and the historical details. Although I liked the romance angle, at times I felt it overshadowed the plot line. Therefore, I gave the book 3 out of 4 stars.
