The idea sounds too boring. I don't think of being given a chance to become immortal since I would become too lazy and dreamless that way.

If I was given the choice to be immortal, I would not accept. I don't believe in living forever, as I would want to see my family again and would not find living on earth without them pleasant. I can see how some people would wish for this, but I don't see the value in it at all.

God, yes. Maybe it’s the deplorable narcissist that lives within me, but I’ve always had ambition beyond my means. Being immortal is opportunity to attain means like no other. I could go to school all around the world, learn every language, have as many PhD’s as I want. I can spend all my life making millions and donate it to charities, spend hundreds of years trying to solve crises like world hunger and poverty and homelessness. I have eternity to do good, to make a difference. That means the world to me.

If I were given the choice, I would absolutely become immortal. I think it would be fun and interesting to learn new technology and watch as humans evolve. Until they evolve beyond me then I would not like it as much. LOL. Endless time to learn anything and everything I want!

Since we are mortal, being immortal can be sounded interesting, but once you become immortal, you will find the life is monotonous and soon you will expect the death.

If I were to be immortal I would like to have a way to end it at some point. For example, if I achieved the thing I wanted. This might defeat the purpose of immortality, but living forever would not be ideal. Imagine living for 5 million years. Then 10 more. Then 5 billion years or so, when the sun will die and so will the earth. We might have to see everyone dying and being unable to do anything. On the other hand though, being immortal, we could travel through space and discover anything we want to. We could also find a way to end wars and find cures to diseases, through the knowledge we would have gained from living for so long. But would being immortal mean that we would get older forever, this would make us unable to do many things, since our bodies wouldn't function as properly.
I would personally not accept being immortal, but am interested in imagining all the situtations immortality could create!

I would love to become immortal only if I get the choice of dying whenever I wish. But if I see it another way, I am going to live numerous lives again and again, so, it would be nice to live one life till the end. As I would not lose my memories and I can use my experience to research about the Earth and the universe. I won't have to do anything from the start and I will only move forward.

I don't think I would want to...for pretty much the same reasons that Elrond described to Arwen in The Two Towers. I wouldn't want to exist throughout all the ages of the Earth, never dying. What if I fell in love with a mortal!!!??? I would live through everything that happens to me and the world around me. And I would remember it all. All my wounds would be eternal wounds...I think it sounds scary. I mean, my first reaction would be "heck ya!", but the more I think about it...the more I wouldn't want to be. Haha!!

Immortality is a curse. Having to watch everyone you love die around you while you never change just sounds like endless torture to me.

I don't think i would because though it will be exciting at first, it will also get to a point were it just becomes sad and lonely. Watching everyone one cares about age and die is another con.
