Reluctant intro

Post by Matthew »

Reluctant 'cause I'm not sure what people want to know. I don't want to come off as mysterious, either.

Let's see...

Male. White. College-educated. (A first!) Living in Ohio. Reader. Writer. Cat person.

Most of my favorite books were written between 1840-1940. Pretty good century for the written word, I'd say. Of course there's lots of great stuff on either side of that date, too, but as I glance over my shelf, the majority of the 500 or so titles seem to end up within that time frame.

I look forward to learning new things and maybe getting into a healthy debate or two.

Welcome! I'm a cat person myself. I've had Bob and Doug for about four years now and they've chewed through the most expensive wires that are needed (but somehow not the cheap wires) and have pretty much destroyed my couches, but as my daughter grows I can see revenge on the horizon!

Hi Matthew, welcome to the forums!

I would like cats, but I'm allergic to them.

Welcome Matthew.

Sorry but I am a dog person. Cats are too aloof for me.

Welcome! I am also a dog person ... I prefer a pet who gives back as much as I give to them, haha

Welcome! I prefer the 19th century for the great novels myself.
