Great story reflecting real-time historic events. The story illustrates what happens during the wars and its aftermath. The young men left everything behind, their loved ones, their dreams of a normal life and the comfort of their homes so as to give themselves fully serve their country. Everyone expects them to be recognised as heroes but the opposite happens.

It seems to be an exciting novel despite the war theme which brings sadness and frustration to me whenever I think of it. Fans of war stories must be very eager to read this book!

This is a historical fiction novel that highlights the Vietnam war, frienship, and trauma. The book is free on Kindle Unlimited and has an inciteful OnlineBookClub review that highlights the best of the book. I rated the book 4 out of 4 stars. Congrats on being the BOTD.

The protagonist of this story is Zachariah Martin a Blue Water Navy sailor who is on the board of a Naval Ship which is on a mission and moving fast toward Vietnam. The sailors' lives and their activities on the ship beautifully portrayed in this book.

This story of sailors at war and their time afterwards when they're back home sounds well-written and intense. I like that the characters are real and relatable. Unfortunately, this is not a genre I'm interested in.

My grandfather was one of those soldiers affected by Agent Orange. I don't usually like war novels because they seem to romanticize it. Because of this review, and the realistic portrayal you describe, I want to give this one a try.

The book sounds interesting and engaging, but historical fiction and books about war are not my cup of tea. I know a little bit about the Vietnam war and its consequences and I have no desire to delve deeper into these horrors. Still congratulations to the author on becoming BOTD! I'm sure a lot of people will find this book irresistable and it will find its reader.

I love naval adventure stories and Randy Miller's "Deadly Waters" "The Vietnam War and Its Aftermath" sounds like a truly great read going by the well thought out review. Though it may have been heart-rending to write on the atrocities experienced by Veterans of The Vietnam War after exposure to their own country's poisonous "Agent Orange" the book could help in creating awareness about injustices visited upon patriots who put their lives in harm's way in defense of their countries. I will definitely read this book.

I was not a fan of reading stories of warriors, soldiers or military books, but this book has really shown me that soldiers are worth everything. An eye opener especially to those expected to help but rather became the enemy.

I have some knowledge of the Vietnam War, and this book would surely fill in some of the gaps in my knowledge. The realistic characters and insertion of humor despite the grave subject matter are to its credit.

I'm no fan of war tales, but I'm glad the characters are quite realistic, and that the author was able to inject snippets of humour into his novel, despite the otherwise heavy subject of war and its outcome on lives. Thanks for the review.

Great review. It really drew me to find the book. Randy Miller’s Deadly Waters: The Vietnam Naval War and Its Aftermath is a reminder that we need to value war veterans and service men and women. Really evocative.

Sounds like an intriguing historical fiction book. I like that the author balanced the heartbreaking experiences of war while still inserting aspects of humor to the storyline. I was going to pass the book but after reading the review I decided to add the book to my want to read shelf. Thank you for the insightful review.
