I'm about halfway through (Ollie just left the bus).
I am loving it!

The author does a nice job in creating suspense and balance it with some lighter moments. Boy, those scarecrows were so creepy! I loved that they were actual people, and I also liked that there were ghosts included. I thought the plot flowed really well and was creative. I especially liked the background the author gave Ollie (so sad about her mother dying) and how much she grew toward the end (I love that her and Coco are actual friends).
I really liked a lot of characters. The trio (Ollie, Coco, and Brian) all seemed to have grown in some way and I thought Ollie was developed well.
Though the bullying of Coco was so sad to see, I think the author does a great job in including it in the story. I laughed out loud when Ollie threw the rock to defend Coco because the bully deserved it!
It was such a fun read that I think I'm going to add her other books to my TBR list! I gave it a 4 out of 4 stars!

I loved it too and rated it 4 out of 4 stars as well. It was a page turner, and I flew through it. It had just the right amount of suspense to keep you wanting more. The author certainly knows how to grab the reader’s attention from the get go. I loved the atmospheric setting and the main characters. All in all, a great story!
Those scarecrows gave me the chills! I admired the courage of Ollie, and the way she stood up to the smiling man.
Ollie did good, but she threw the rock on the wrong guy...
I certainly recommend reading her other books.
