Your review is written with "eloquence and grace" as well. It describes the book in detail yet qithout spoilers and encourages people to read it.

Romance is my favorite genre, and this one seems to have an intriguing plot. From the review, it kind of seems like Jancy falls in love with her Uncle Rudy. I really hope that's not going to be the case.

From your review, I'm already in love with the book. The book mirrors the average family and how things go on in the family. Thanks for the review.

Quite an interesting story of family life and romance in this book "More Heavens Than One" by Jennie Linnane, which revolves around Jancy Steinmetz and her family who migrate to the vast plains of Australia to set a farm there. The story follows Jancy growing into womanhood from her early teens and is full of mind lingering themes and conversations between the characters, which sounds quite appealing.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

I am not one for a romance typically but I also have read her novel, Ironbark Hill, and am now curious to see how this story plays out. Your review was wonderful and pulled me right in.

The review is 4 of 4 stars as well. Thanks. Emotions never fail unless one is the devil himself. Good job.

bb587 wrote: 04 Feb 2019, 07:03 I read this book and thoroughly disliked it. It's not a simple, wholesome romance. It's a long tale about a young girl as she grows older, who ends up in a taboo relationship. Really, it should have come with a disclaimer.
"Love can be complicated when a woman sets her sights on a man who is considered off limits. In her romance novel, More Heavens Than One, Jennie Linnane writes about forbidden affection and how settling for a less than desirable alternative can only be masked over for so long until true emotions come spilling out."

I believe that is where I put the disclaimer into my review without giving away entirely what the 'taboo' relationship was. I had to be careful not to include any spoilers as this would have made my review flagged for not meeting the reviewer guidelines. So, when I wrote the review, I was walking the tightrope of not revealing too much while mentioning a romance that was off limits. Not every book is for everyone. I found the theme of this similar to Ironbark Hill which is also written by this author. Did you read that one?

This was a beautifully written review. The description of the book makes me want to run out and pick it up. I was drawn in by the lovely descriptions of the land and the relationships. I was attracted to it because I am also not typically one to read that genre. However, if someone who is truly into romance were to read the review, they may not feel the same way. There is not much reference to the romantic part of the story and even I would have liked a little hint as to how this is a romance. Maybe that is part of the appeal though.

This book has great promise of enjoyable and delightful reading! With sound plot, very well developed charters and, my personal favorite, interlacing so many directions of a lot lives!

For some peculiar reason, this book reminded me of "Thorn Birds". Of course, they might be totally different books. However, I did love that forbidden romance set in Australia during hard times and I would love to read something fresh and new. Thank you very much for your review.

Although I'm not the greatest fan of sugary romantic novels, I do enjoy reading this type of book from time to time, especially if it's well written. And More Heavens than One seems to be the kind of novel I would enjoy. I will put it on my 'to read' shelf. Thank tou for your review!

"...just as this book touches on the subject of farming, she plants ideas and lets them sit with the reader for a while, but you know that eventually, they will manifest."

I really love that sentence because it eloquently conveys how much the story stays on your mind when you aren't reading it because the plot is so good. Reading this review makes me interested in this book because, as the reviewer stated, it isn't just a romance.
