I like your review and I am interested in reading this book because it is the same author as IronBark Hill which I enjoyed reading about. It is also clear that even though you do not like romance novels, you have enjoyed this book to rate it four stars. The beginning of your review was intriguing as well as the mentions of romantic scenes because at first the novel did not seem like a romance novel.

Though, I am unaware if this novel has a good storyline to it. It does sound to have a good plot judging from the reviews. Yet, it sounds like a movie and or book that I have already read and know by heart. I have not come across anything thus far that sets this story apart from other stories of this nature.

I enjoyed the sample which focused mainly on Jancy's family adjusting to life in the farm. Linnane indeed has a wonderful way with words. The dialogue and depiction of relationships are realistic. One is transported to the land down under to live among the Aussie folk.

The book sounds amazing and very touching, of course, on the issues of forbidden affection. I would have a great time reading it. Congrats on being BOTD.

The foundation of strong core values is fundamental for all children. These key assets are especially vital for young women given their tendency to struggle more frequently with identity diffusion. Through the connections with her parents, grandparents, and siblings Jancy is presumably a young woman courageous in her own values and confident of her place in the world.

I loved the fact that the author didn't go into descriptive intimate sessions like most romance novels. Really good review.

I wasn’t really a fan of Ironbark Hill, but your review has convinced me to give this author another try. Perhaps this time the story will appeal to me more.

I always said I wasn't a fan of romance novels. It was until I read a couple books I got as gifts that made me realize that these stories are perfect when you want to take a break from your reality. A well-written romance, with interesting characters, can help you "get in" the story, relate to a character and make you feel that's your world.

Reading your review, just made me want to go and read this book asap. I found it very interesting. something I could really get myself into. Plus, the fact that the edition is well done, adds a lot to me. :D Thank you for this review!

Thank you for such a wonderful review, it was a treat to read :) I was hesitant about the romantic aspect of this book but your review has made me realise it is so much more than that. It sounds like a fascinating read, and I like that there is humour in the book as well.

I really enjoyed Jennie Linnane's Ironbark Hill, so I think that I could enjoy this one too. They both sound like coming age stories that would be very interesting to read since they both take place in Australia.

Thanks for the review! I found it very descriptive and helpful. I’m not sure about this one because I’m not up for a romance read that is based on heartbreak among other reasons. Thanks for sharing :)

A tale of forbidden affection sounds intriguing. Jennie is a credible author.

Thanks for the engaging review of this novel. It sounds like a well-rounded novel with a blend of seriousness, self-discovery, romance and more. I must say that your review has piqued my interest in this book and I am going to put it on my to-be-read shelf. I am looking forward to reading this book in the future and learning more about the characters the author has created.

Based on the review I am not sure if I would enjoy reading this book. I like reading the romance genre. I am not sure about the slight incestuous nature of the book and the religious content. I am going to give the book a chance and try reading the story because I want to see if this is something that I would like.
