I also admired Fifi and Yvette as spies as they know their strengths as women and they use it to their advantage. It takes bravery and a lot of courage to become a spy and those girls definitely have those qualities.
I agree she might be a good soldier, too. The other two girl does not hesitate using their looks configuring the codes.

Plus, she's a woman. Her looks are as deadly as her intelligence and prowess. Though I liked Jacko, I can't deny that Sarah has the upper hand in deceiving the enemies. Also, she has the physical ability to do her job well and fast.
Both the siblings have the same guts. I even wonder if Aborigines were really like that.
Maybe it is an inborn quality of theirs, who knows. :eusa-think:

YES! Sarah could have developed her raw abilities to their finest if she was given the chance just as Jacko. There is no denying that she is capable and suitable to be a spy.

The best working spy for men is Jacko and Yvette and Fifi in the women's side.

The best planning spy is Jamie.

My bet is Jamie as the planning spy. Being a Spy without careful planning means nothing.

Yaah, Aborigines are known for their cryptic abilities as they are living in a bushy area. They already know how to protect themselves from strangers.

It just goes to show how education and training is beneficial, and how there are lost opportunities for those unfortunate ones who cannot receive them.

Though, I haven't read this book, spying is a very thrilling and dangerous job. Not everyone cane can do this. It requires a particular aptitude.
Make your ideals high enough to inspire you and low enough to encourage you.

Yes! This also shows privilege.

A perfect capability and quality for a spy! Even in a war, their natural instict as Aborigines is quite the key to a victory!

Fifi's work as well requires agility as a Jewish lady pretend being a Texan to allure her secretive enemy.

Exactly! Requires bravery, wise, alertness and even good sight. Just thinking so, they have plenty of vitamin A because they can easily locate their prey.

I think that Jacko definitely has to be the best spy in this novel. He has the correct sense of presence to blend into most situations and to appear innocuous, probably due to his looks and mixed heritage. He is also able to follow and observe people very well due to his natural abilities. He also seemed to be the one doing a lot of the physical work. There can be no doubt that the ladies also faced a lot of danger and took considerable risks. This is my only criticism of the novel. Their work would have been far grimier than it was made out to be in the novel. To be honest, they were bedding men in an effort to get information from them, but this is definitely underplayed in the book. Sarah was also very good at what she did, but she was not really spying, but rather working against the criminals. I liked the way that the author used the abilities of Jacko and his sister to outwit the criminals in the outback.

I agree with some of the comments that being more bland (or not as much of a standout) gives a person the ability to blend in and thereby pick up information without being noticed. They are almost seen as furniture or backdrop and not seriously taken as someone who is actually uncovering confidential or classified information.

For me, the best spy is Jacko. He is resourceful and adaptable in any situations and environment he is in.
