I found this book overall very enlightening. It was very engaging, but yet inspirational but at the same time humorous. I enjoyed the spiritual teachings throughout the chapters and found myself stopping and trying them out some were relatively easy as everyday life some not so much. I am not sure it is a book my mother-in-law would read, but I certainly enjoyed it and will come back to it to master a few of those exercises.

I could not get into this book. I really didn't like it. His experiences seemed far-fetched and I couldn't relate to it.gali wrote: ↑01 Mar 2019, 00:25 This is a discussion topic for the March 2019 Book of the Month, The Unbound Soul: A Visionary Guide to Spiritual Transformation and Enlightenment by Richard L. Thank you for your kind comment, Anna Bellle. Do give it a try. I am sure you will learn or two new things from this book.Anna Bellle wrote: ↑06 Mar 2019, 10:17Thanks a lot for the recommendation. I haven't read it yet and usually i avoid such books but now i think i should give this book a try cause i feel myself on the verge of giving up sometimes.aolayide wrote: ↑01 Mar 2019, 13:09 My overall opinion of "The Unbound Soul by Richard L. Haight " is that it is full of spiritual insights and thought-provoking events. It made me reflect on the good or bad choices we make and I actually believe that what this author has written is a mirror for everyone. What I like least about the book is the beginning. I could not really follow the direction of the story until I got to Chapter 1. However, I would recommend this book to anyone who is on the verge of giving up or who thinks life lacks a purpose.
I would rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because it is pretty straight forward and the experience of the author is properly illustrated and full of in-depth meanings.
Thanks a lot.

Richard’s personal life had some instances which were not easy to believe, and personally, I was not quite convinced to believe them. He took part in a raffle and was able to predict the result of the raffle with his spiritual eyes. He also mentions about an instance when he played basketball and was able to put the ball in the basket during each of his attempts, only due to his focus at that time but no prior experience of the game.
I could not understand the techniques of meditation very well even after reading the related text twice. Richard tells to analyze the vision, then analyze the smell, and so on, as part of the meditation which seems quite difficult for me to implement as a layman. Richard also mentions that the physical body is able to choose the food best suited for it and we don’t need to interfere in that. This concept is way over my head.
I would recommend this book to the audience who wish to know a bit about spirituality and do not mind some hard to believe incidents and complicated concepts.

Same here! Before, I regard meditation as something not suited for me who has an attention span of a goldfish. However, after reading the book, I think I might give it a try since it has lots of benefits that I overlooked before.frowngoclownfish wrote: ↑06 Mar 2019, 20:58 I thought the book was great. It gave me a different perspective on prayer and meditation. Before this reading this book, I was a bit iffy on meditation. I think I might have to give it a try.
