The trick with kangaroo, because it has barely any fat, is to not cook it for too long. Imho it is best rare. If cooked too long it becomes very tough and chewy. There was no crocodile available last night, bummer. :( This restaurant is awsome they bring out your meal and a sizzling square stone and you cook your own meal how you like it, on the stone. You just have to be very careful not to touch the stone. :D

"Skippy, Skippy, Skippy the bush kangaroo .... " how am I going to sleep tonight I totally traumatized :( :( :( :( :(

Im about a mile from the beach here, its all sand. There is a beach a few miles from here, that is all rocks. Not pebbles, but good sized rocks. Its a a good place to find those round clams and octopus, which some people like but not me.

@Fran

I did feel a little bit bad the first time I ate kangaroo, especially as it is one of the two animals that appear on our coat of arms. I did ask the waiter to make sure that the kangaroo we were eating was not related to Skippy in any way at all. Hang on, hang on, Fran, how do you know who Skippy is? :D :D

@Ant

I am happy to hear that you have such a wide variety of beaches over there. We had a barbecue on the beach last night. It was beautiful having steak and snags watching the sun go down over the incoming waves. Especially because we have just bought these new beach chairs which are sooooo comfortable.

My father is a big golf fan, so it gives me something to do with him. Also, being outdoors is nice, as groomed as it may be.

KANGAROO?? Like in the Winnie-the-Pooh books??? I s'pose you'd eat Rabbit, too.

I need a guitar strap, so it's time for Crusher the Cheapskate to learn macrame.
How perfectly goddamned delightful it all is, to be sure.

In recent weeks, eBay has become a big hobby of mine. Its quite fun to buy and sell things on it and see your rating go up, plus you can get some great bargains on it for stuff like laptop bits and bobs, boxsets etc and even American chocolate! :D :D
