I'd link to it, but I can't do that quite yet. The story is up on npr's website.

Thanks Leonardo Noto, however it has nothing to do with the Zelda games sorry. He was my favourite QB when he played for the Vikings. He came on as a backup and won 6 or 7 games in a row and nearly took them to the playoffs, this is years ago. I used to go on about him all the time so everyone started calling me gannon. I do however love the Zelda games. Imho some of the best games ever written.Leonardo Noto wrote:David Copperfield is one of my favorite books; however, the reason I'm making this post is to tell "Gannon" that you have an awesome screen name. Watch out for Link, dude!

Excellent, let me know what you think. Its been ages since I watched it. I think I might take another look at it after reading the novel and see how it compares.
Well it was certainly 'different' ... an interesting interpretation! Can't imagine what Mr Charles would make of it though.
I thought Anne Bancroft was superb but then I love her in anything. De Niro was good as the convict but would you agree when he turns up at he end as the bearded man he is the image of Karl Marx

Now I picked last so it's now your turn to pick our next Dickens book

I remember there being a few differences in this film. Is it not set in a more present time period and Pip is an artist. I forgot about Anne Bancroft, brilliant performance. As you say it would be interesting to see what the man himself would of made of this film. Nearly finished the book. I think I will rent the movie out again, see what I think about it now.Fran wrote:Well it was certainly 'different' ... an interesting interpretation! Watch closely & see if you agree with me about Karl Marx making an appearanceGannon wrote:I remember there being a few differences in this film. I wrote a critique of Copperfield which you might find interesting (and maybe not. *LOL*). It is located under the topic CLASSIC BOOKS and is entitled Observations: David Copperfield by Charles Dickens.
