Thanks for a great review. I'm glad you illustrated the characters' growth, as well as their personalities.
What I never really understand is why these immortal (old) supernatural creatures in fantasy novels usually think it's a good idea to go to high school. You're seventy, (or sometimes, centuries old) and your preferred company is seventeen-year-olds? I don't know, maybe adults would be better; more experience, perspective, maturity, etc.
Well, these are just my musings, but otherwise, the book seems interesting (editing and pacing issues notwithstanding). I'm glad you enjoyed it.

It reminded me a lot of Twilight, actually. Thanks for commenting!

TuyetMai wrote: 29 Apr 2019, 12:07 Thanks for your insightful review. I'm glad it's not erotic for a change, I've pretty much had it with the majority of vampire books going down that path. The focus on religion is an interesting touch. I may check this out once the errors are fixed.
I liked it not having explicit sex scenes as well. Hopefully, they will have it edited soon. Thanks for commenting!

LOL. I agree with you. I think it is probably written that way since teenagers are the intended audience. Thanks for commenting!

Over 600 pages? A lengthy book! However, it sounds an intriguing read with relatable, well-developed characters. Those who enjoy reading about vampire tales will enjoy it! Unfortunately, I am not a huge fan of fantasy books; therefore, I will pass on this one. Also, it is a pity the book has editing issues. Thank you for the beautiful, detailed review! :D

Very thorough review! Vampire stories are not my personal cup of tea, and knowing that this one is very long as has a lot of errors makes me want to try it even less. However, it sounds like the plot could be interesting for those who like vampire stories.

I enjoyed your review. It sounds like all the book's problems could be fixed by a good editor work over!

What a long read! It's great to know you've discovered its worth, though. Thank you for your insightful review.

I've never read a vampire book, though I was a fan of the tv series 'True Blood' at one stage. At 600 pages long, I don't think I'll start with this one, especially given the fact that it has a lot of errors in it. Thanks for a great review of what must've been a difficult read!
