"Pressing Flowers" by Katie Blanchard has a very good storyline. I am very emotional myself. I feel the pain and sympathize with Miriam. I cannot begin to imagine how one feels when she lost a loved one.

Pressing Flowers sounds like a great read but sad. I am curious as to why she feels guilty about her husbands death, but I look forward to going on this journey with Miriam on her way to finding herself again.

This sounds like an extremely well-written and emotionally moving book. The message conveyed would be helpful for those who may be going through a process of grief. Thank you for the great review.

This sounds like a story akin to the Fault in Our Stars. I will give this one a try. Thank you for reviewing this, it sounds like a book my mum would enjoy as well.

:techie-studyinggray: You certainly convey the heart-rending nature of the tale - it really is harrowing. Great escapist reading, though, as it certainly has one on the edge of one's seat.

I'm still recovering from trauma so I have no interest in reading about someone's real grief. With that said, I think this book carries a powerful message that life must go on, regardless of how we feel. I'm not sure if the threat to take away Miriam's daughter was grounded in sound judgment because her daughter Emma had no say in the decision and this could have hurt Emma in the long run, but that's what humans do. We make mistakes and bad decisions.

This book sounds definitely like I will need a box of tissues handy. Though perhaps not a romance in the stereotypical sense, this story sounds like it has the potential to be filled with love and loss and emotional highs and lows. Can’t wait to get started on it!

It's not my usual kind of genre but after reading the review, I am going to give it a try. Nicely written and it makes me curious to know what are those 7 tasks Miriam receives from Emma. I will read the book soon.

When I read the sample, I was hooked! This book sounds so emotional. A great read if you are someone who has ever been through something incredibly difficult and you find it impossible to climb out of the rut you are in. I think the mother and daughter's relationship will be strengthened in this book about love, loss and moving on.
Great review!

Thank you for a clear illustration of this book. I will keep the Kleenex handy.

Sounds like a beautifully written and very emotional family drama. It's very important to work with your grief, shake it away, and return to your ordinary life that, of course, goes on. I would like to check this book out. Thank you very much for a great review!
