Your review has me scared about reading the book as it appears to be such a sad and heartbreaking story. I am encouraged to know that you found the story while not faced pace to be a page-turner. Thank you for your vivid review.

Sounds like I need to keep a box of tissues nearby while reading this one. I can't imagine suffering through such a great loss. At least she had her daughter.

Since her husband's death, Miriam has been struggling to cope. She is no longer a mother to her daughter since she can hardly get herself out of bed everyday. But suddenly faced with her mother's threat to fiLe for custody. She finds seven items on apiece of paper, dragging her back into the world.

The challenge of the list that her mother wrote brings her back to therapy and support groups.

I find this book touching, poor Miriam. Sometimes we grumble and say we know what it means to be lonely, depressed and discouraged whereas we know nothing.

This exploration of grief, loss, and renewal sounds inspiring. I could tell just from your review how profound the grief was for Marion. Nice job on the review.

Even though the story is sad, and I couldn't say I like reading sad books, this one got me interested. I like well developed characters and their evolution throughout the story. The protagonist of this book seems to have had to jump over a big abyss.

As a man I get the impression that this book is probably for women, but as a writer myself I am fascinated to read the review and its descriptions of the authors handling of the characters and of grief. The review certainly gives a comprehensive and an emotional overview of the book and I will enjoy reading it, I am sure.

Grief is an emotion we all experience at some point. It sounds like Blanchard is a terrific writer, to pull the reader in and be one with the protagonist. When I'm ready to read this book, I'll be sure to have tissues nearby. Thanks for the great review!

Great review! This story explores a very difficult issue of loss. It expresses the raw and real emotions people suffer endure when they lose their loved ones. It also depicts the strength needed to piece one's life back together. I believe this book would be relatable to people experiencing similar situations and may also help them throughout the process to overcome these situations.

This book grabbed me from the start. Anyone that has felt any loss can relate. Anyone that has empathy can feel the pain of that loss. It is well written and promises to be a good read. The review reaffirms this book will be worth the time. The fact it is free today means there aren't any excuses to curl up with it and keep going.

This is exactly the kind of book I would like to read some raining day. A little bit sad, a little bit happy -- just like a life itself. Thank you both(author and reviewer)for such good story and congratulation with BOTD!
